Gluteoplasty Butt Lift

Who is this surgery for?

The complaint about the appearance or volume of the gluteal region occurs with some frequency. When the volume is low you can resort to increasing it basically in two ways. In the first instance, the patient’s fat can be used, or gluteal lipoinjection, which gives a very natural appearance, although it has limitations regarding the amount of fat that can be injected and how much fat remains without being reabsorbed. Second, a gluteal implant can be placed, similar to those used in augmentation mammoplasties, which produces a rapid and visible change.

Risk of surgery

Both procedures are very safe. In the injection guteoplasty, fat resurfacing may occur, which limits the results, and could very rarely increase the possibility of infection. Buttock implants have basically the same possibilities of complication as breast implants, that is, bruises, serous, contractual capsular. In some cases, especially in very thin patients, or who present weight loss after surgery, the implant can be made more visible through the muscular and skin coverage, generating what is called a double contour.
